Come & Try Rugby 2024
It was a bright and sunny day where lots of little smiling faces enjoyed a sporting day out at Albert Park on Saturday 9 March. Gympie Hammers Rugby Union club held their second week of their four week Introductory come and try program for local kids to give rugby a go.The program began on Saturday 2 March to give boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 a chance to try out the sport and have fun with their friends.
Their Bent St Vet Cup is a great introductory program where the kids get to play rugby with their mates, plus make new ones, while doing warm ups, drills, learning new skills, and playing mini games. For those that to decide to sign up for the regular season, the Gympie Hammers will give a $20 discount code off the season fee for participants. The cost is $50 and includes training shirt, shorts, socks, drink bottle and four weeks of fun on a Saturday morning. There are still two weeks left of the program, so get in on the opportunity for the kids to give it a go.
Registrations for the program can be done on the Rugby Xplorer app. After registering on the app, search for Gympie Hammers Little Rugby 7’s and complete the event registration. For further information or questions call Brad, their Juniors President on 0435 123 815 or message them on Facebook.
